Are scars from acne forever?

I have mild scars from acne and I was wondering if the scars will remain on my face forever or will it fade away with time? If so, how long will it take to start fading? I am 16.

No, they won't go away. Scars are permanent. They will fade in time, but won't ever completely go away. It takes years for them to fade.
