What is the most effective over-the-counter medicine/ointment to remove acne and pimple scars?

Where it could be possibly bought? What is the most effective over-the-counter medicine/ointment to remove acne and pimple scars?
Of the prescription medications, Accutane is one of the best. It is a chemical derivative of vitamin A, and is often referred to as the “miracle drug” for acne. Accutane is most effective in the treatment of severe cystic acne, and not to be taken lightly. For some people, the many side effects can be worse than the acne itself. However, this is one treatment that works.

Retin A and Renova are also prescription medications. These are topical derivatives of vitamin A, and are also good at clearing up fine lines, wrinkles, and slight skin discolorations. One of the biggest downsides is sunlight and other topical acne treatments must be avoided while using either of them. However, they are proven to reduce acne.

Birth control pills and antibiotics round out the acne medications most commonly prescribed. Birth control pills are used exclusively by women to help regulate hormones, and therefore lessen the hormonally related acne that many women experience. Antibiotics work by attacking the acne causing p.bateria as it grows deep in skin pores.

There are some over the counter acne treatments that work well. The two best are benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid.

Benzoyl peroxide works by penetrating the skin pores, and eliminating the acne causing bacteria that grows deep in the skin. Benzoyl peroxide is the most commonly used acne treatment because it is affordable, easily available, and nearly as effective as most prescription medication.

Salicylic acid works by removing the top layers of dead skin cells. This helps the skin renew itself faster, and decreases the chance for pore blockage and a subsequent acne breakout.

scars? Look up what scars is in the dictionary and there you have your answer.

For you acne I suggest Neutrogena bar soap for acne/oily skin (sensitive). That worked miracles for me.
Try creme antiacnee
Vitamin E gel, scars disappear like magic.
There are a lot of ointments recommended for scars, but the one I have had the very best luck with is good old Vitamin E oil.

It is available at most pharmacies and drug stores in the form of capsules, which are really quite a nice way to use it. You puncture the tip of a capsule with a pin, and then squeeze it gently to apply it to the area, which keeps you from getting it all over your hands. It is quite sticky, so once you get a drop on the area you want it on, just pat it lightly with your finger to help it soak into the area.

You can also buy Vitamin E oil at health food stores or places that sell vitamins and supplements. For some strange reason, it generally costs more to buy a bottle of the oil, instead of the capsules, but you use it the same way. I used to use it, and I would just dab it on the bad area with a cotton swab.

I have darker skin, so when I was younger and I had scars from pimples, they were really noticeable and showed up as very dark patches. I tried just about everything, but the Vitamin E was the thing that worked best and showed the quickest improvement.

Also, remember to make sure that the acne itself is completely healed before you apply anything on it. No topical solution will help if you still have an infection under the surface of your skin. Get the acne cleared up, then use the Vitamin E. And also remember, the scars will do a lot of fading on their own, even untreated, over time. I have a lot of friends who had severe acne when we were young, and who haven't used anything on their faces to help with the scarring, and with most of them, you cannot see any trace of scars at all. But using Vitamin E to help the healing along cannot hurt ;)
